General Manager

With over 100 people in five offices, we require a General Manager to join our senior management team with responsibility for financial, operations and strategic management as we prepare for further growth and success. This position will report to the President.

Financial Management:

  • create, analyse and communicate annual financial returns, government reporting, financial performance metrics
  • manage general accounting, internal audits, cash flow, project accounting, corporate budget controls and oversight of division budgets
  • maintain In Focus accounting/project management software system for project costing and administrative tracking
  • develop and manage project budgets/controls for multi-disciplinary teams
Operations/Strategic Management:
  • recommend and implement best practices in operations management and service delivery
  • analyze workload capacity/availability to ensure technical and management resources are adequate to meet a growing market
  • manage the Finance team for maximum effectiveness and efficiency

Qualifications:
  • 7-10 years of experience in a senior leadership role with expertise in accounting and change management
  • Formal training is a benefit, but not as important as proven experience. Credentials may include MA, CA, BBA or MBA. P.Eng is an advantage but not required.

Enermodal is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our cross-functional green building team. By providing technical guidance, the Project Manger will supervise the overall direction of projects, and ensure the timely completion of project goals.

Key responsibilities:

  • participates in project planning and development of sustainable design features to improve the energy and resource efficiency of new buildings, renovations and site improvements
  • be responsible for all phases of green building design, construction, and certification to LEED, Canada Green Building Rating System

Enermodal's Building Energy Performance Group requires an Energy Analyst to assist in the design and analysis of energy efficient buildings.
  • prepare preliminary and detailed energy models using eQuest and EE4
  • analyze effectiveness of energy conservation measures using shopping list tools
  • work as part of a design team to provide input on energy conservation measures and make recommendations for cost effective improvements
  • perform ASHRAE 62 calculations for outdoor air requirements
  • prepare modelling reports and calculations for LEED submissions
  • review design documents ( plans, specifications, shop drawings) as they are developed to ensure that the intended energy efficiency measures are being incorporated into the design
  • update energy simulations as the design progresses
  • design and execute monitoring plans to analyze the performance of new and existing buildings
This position requires
  • degree in mechanical or electrical engineering/technology
  • minimum 2 years industry/field experience
