Green Education Computer Kiosks

The LEED green building rating system grants an innovation credit through the provision of a “Green Education Program.” This program must provide a case study summary of the green aspects of the building and a permanent educational display illustrating at least one component of each of the five major LEED categories. The program should be geared to building occupants and the general public alike.

In addition to their role in LEED ratings, green education kiosks make a high tech accent for building lobbies and foyers.

Enermodal’s services include the development of a stand alone, interactive touch-screen computer kiosk and a printed case study of the green features in the building. The content for these items is developed specifically for the project based on the features included in design and LEED points achieved. The graphic design and layout of the case study and kiosk are selected by the client from a list of pre-defined templates. Custom designs can be developed.

Enermodal’s green kiosks include the following options:

  • animated graphics of energy and resource-saving features in a building
  • live data displays of current data from the building associated with the LEED measurement & verification credit
  • custom-designed graphics of building features and construction processes, movies, and other multi-media features available upon request

All kiosks are self contained and come equipped with a sturdy pedestal base. Installation is provided by the manufacturer; wiring for power/data are the responsibility of the client/owner. Data installation is completed by Enermodal.
