Enermodal Engineering is a consulting firm committed to improving the energy and resource efficiency of buildings and building products. We are recognized authorities in sustainable design, the evaluation of environmentally-appropriate technologies, building inspection and energy audits, and the evaluation of windows, doors, and walls. We specialize in energy efficiency and environmentally sustainable buildings. Enermodal has offices in Denver, Colorado; Phoenix, Arizona; and Kitchener, Ontario, with a professional staff of over 40. We provide innovative solutions to reduce the energy and water consumption and the environmental impact of building designs.

Enermodal is recognized for its expertise in sustainable design and energy modeling. We have performed energy analyses for dozens of LEED projects, including the Bozeman Public Library, ISP-ISDH Toxicology Laboratory, Denver Museum of Contemporary Art and the Washtenaw Recreation Center. Enermodal is the LEED consultant to the Old Faithful Visitors Education Center. Enermodal is part of the teams reviewing LEED project submittals.

Enermodal was the project manager for ASHRAE 90.1 standards work in Iowa, Idaho and Colorado. Our President, Susan Reilly, was the co-author of the LABS 21 ASHRAE 90.1 guide. Our expertise includes working experience with eQUEST and DOE-2.2. 

Enermodal has been recognized numerous times for pushing the limits of sustainable design. Recent accolades include two ASHRAE Technology Awards for innovative commercial (Green on the Grand) and residential (Waterloo Green Home) building design.
